Overview:

I’m a multi-skilled CD with a background in start ups, social media, strategy and production. My varied background has meant I’m just as at home on set directing a large crew as I am standing in front of leadership teams presenting creative ideas or strategy. I thrive as part of a busy, results driven team and have high expectations of myself, my work and my team. 

Skills:

Creative direction - Interrogating and approving briefs; guiding teams through ideation and idea development; client presentations; executional guidance and approval; ensuring ideas and executions remain on brand; development of brand look & feel and tone of voice; pitching; leading client workshops; managing creative teams; ensuring creative vision cohesion between departments, clients and in-house stakeholders; running creative inspiration sessions for both clients and internal staff; and happily jumping on the tools when required.

Social strategy - Developing brand social personality; identifying relevant social trends; differentiating look & feel and tone of voice across different channels; running social boot camps; planned agile strategy and planning; posting frequency and timing; identifying and developing brand and audience insights; audience research; tactical calendar planning; and making your brand a must-follow for your audience. 

Video Production - All aspects of production from concept to delivery including: script/copy writing, storyboarding, shooting, editing, ADR, voiceovers, motion graphics, VFX, animation, producing, scheduling, budgeting, crewing & casting, location scouting/management, continuity, art direction, graphic design, management of crew. 

Digital - Web site development and management; CMS; SEO; Google Adwords. Experienced in video content, display and search advertising across Facebook, Instagram, Google, Youtube.

Creative Group Head - Social

A mixture of Creative Director, Head of Social and Social Strategist. Overseeing and mentoring creative teams; developing social strategies; creating tone of voice & look and feel bibles; leading client presentations; running client workshops; ensuring work is on brand and relevant; executional guidance and approval; educating in-house teams and leadership on social best practice; and jumping on the tools when needed. Clients have included; U by Kotex, The House of Robert Timms, Volvo, Property NSW, Royal Caribbean, GSK, Huggies.

M&C Saatchi

Social Content Preditor (Producer/Director/Editor)

Creative lead and senior member of the social content team. Concepting, presenting to client, producing, storyboarding, copywriting, art direction, management of junior creatives, creating and delivering social content. I managed and directed multiple shoots a week from one-man-band shoots to fully crewed productions. Management of full-time direct reports as well as multiple freelancers and crew. Clients have included Woolworths, BWS, CBA, Lexus, Optus, Menulog, IAG/NRMA, Steggles, Little Bud Food.  

The What

Managing Director & Video Producer

Creating and running a successful video production business, managing employees and freelancers. Everything from creating a concept, writing, shooting, graphic design, voice over and/or presenting, editing and uploading. Clients have included Pinnacle Liquor, Knight Frank and Logie winning film director, Peter Butt.

Balance Group

National Sales & Marketing Manager

Developing two start up brands from the ground up. Branding; market research; product sourcing & testing; created new market for new products. I then took the lead on sales and marketing including campaign management; PR; blog content; video and ad production; copywriting; account management; project management; Facebook advertising; Google Adwords management; social media management; new lead generation.

Gelicious Cosmetics 

National Sales & Marketing Manager

Developing start up brand - first at home gel nail polish in Australia. Positioning new product in a new market; B2B sales; new lead generation; account management; customer service; managing orders; creating group buying campaigns; new product development and marketing; training junior staff; social media.

Fairfax Digital Media

Presenter and Researcher - NZ Insider 

Researched, developed and co-wrote online travel program about New Zealand and then spent a month travelling around New Zealand filming and presenting the show.

Assistant Location Manager - Dance Academy 

Responsible for sourcing locations; liaising with property owners and completing relevant contracts and council filming permits. Also included scheduling recce days; writing location directions; creating location maps; and office administration duties.

Southern Star Productions

Assistant Location Manager - Love My Way 

Responsible for sourcing locations; liaising with property owners and completing relevant contracts and council filming permits. Also included scheduling recce days; writing location directions; creating location maps; and office administration duties.

Hugh Jackman’s The Boy from Oz

Dresser and Costume Maker 

Sole responsibility for approximately sixty costumes (repair, upkeep etc.) and dressing the actors in every show (approximately ten costume changes per actor) sewing costumes and some minor design. 

Filmsite

Location Scout 

All aspects of location work and car wrangling from receiving brief and researching possible localities; to photographing proposed locations and liaising with property owners, directors and producers. Also responsible for running a database of properties and creating a database of vehicles, including sourcing, shooting and design. 

Rhose Entertainment

Production Manager 

Responsible for all production logistics during season at Belvoir Street Theatre and International Fringe Theatre Festival in New York including all aspects of production from lighting and sound cues to fund raising, arranging the donation of prizes for the raffle, the actors, props and general theatre and staff organisation.
